Customer Rating: Summary: OK, but too many annoyances Comment: This product is very thoughtfully and cleverly designed. It fits in your ear well enough, and the case is very smart. However, the call quality isn't fantastic, it's not very comfortable, and using the single button means pushing the thing into your ear, which can sometimes hurt. Overall, not an improvement over what I was using before.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good Headset Comment: I've had it for more than a month now and am very satisfied with it so far. I had a bluetooth headset when they were fairly new and that had connection and communication issues. The 925 is different, conversation comes back & forth clear and the ear adapter does it's job without the complication of hooks. Connection was not a problem with my iPhone and everything works as promised.
Customer Rating: Summary: Complete dissatisfaction Comment: I have been more than disappointed with this Bluetooth device.
First, the call volume is so low that it must be increased on every call, meaning you usually lose the first few words a caller speaks. Also meaning you usually won't know WHO is calling you until you ask them to repeat.
Second, reception is very poor. Even with my iPhone clipped to my belt, reception AND transmission is garbled to the point where turning the Bluetooth off and speaking on the phone itself becomes necessary to avoid frustration.
Third, even with three different ear attachments, it is very uncomfortable.
Would I buy this product again? Would I recommend it to a friend? My recommendation is to stay as far away from this gadget as you can. In fact, I would like to say, "Hey, Plantronics, stick it in YOUR ear!"
Customer Rating: Summary: OK, What am I missing? Comment: I do like this product, but I can't seem to keep it in my ear! Pairing was easy, sound's good, but I've tried all 3 sizes of ear insert, and none of them really fit into my ear. Apparently it's the "gel" that creates a clingy effect to keep the ear piece in, but no way are you getting the whole cylinder that comprises the speaker in there. The small size doesn't have enough mass to catch hold, I guess, and falls out easily. The medium seems to hold the best, but no way could I "Jump up and down while pointing it down" and keep it on. The large-sized insert covering seems too big altogether, I can't get it in there enough to hold. I can't help but feel like I'm just not getting the "knack" of it, and it's important to make it work, since here in California we have that "hands-free driving" law now, so holding it in my ear with my finger(s) just defeats the whole purpose, doesn't it? The medium size stays put the best, I guess, but even that begins to come out in about 5 minutes, and there I am trying to screw it back in to make it stay. Very annoying. Has no one else had this problem?
I don't get what the little "handle" on the top of the gel is, either, other than to help pull it off the speaker drum (for those of us who keep changing the size to try and make it stay in). Is it supposed to press upwards or something and catch the cartiledge of the ear? The drum being too big to insert, it looks like that little tiny protrusion on the bottom of the "gel" is meant to wedge into the ear canal, but it's too small to do the job of holding it in place . . . what am I missing???
Customer Rating: Summary: McLovin' It Comment: If I hadn't gotten a $50 gift certificate for my birthday I wouldn't have even considered this headset because it's expensive. Now that I've had it for over a month I can say that it's still probably not worth the money, but this is one GREAT product nonetheless. Once I stick it in my ear it stays put and I don't realize it's there until the phone rings. There's no loop to put over the ear which is perfect for an eyeglass wearer like me. The sound is crystal clear and I've been told that I am clear as well on the other end. The talk and standby times are excellent. I can't think of anything to complain about. If you've got the cash make the splurge.

The Discovery will have you looking fashionable and turning heads. View larger. | Comfort and Crisp Sound for Your Ear Measuring 2.7 x 1.0 x 0.9 inches and weighing a mere 0.3 ounces, you'll barely know that the Discovery 925 is in your ear. But with its striking onyx-black and silver color combination and minimalist features, this one-of-a-kind earpiece will surely get you noticed--in a good way. (The earpiece is also available in alchemy-gold and cerise-pink). The Discovery 925 is designed to follow the contours of your cheek. It features a filtered glass bead that's been blasted and anodized for a ceramic high-gloss elegant finish. The ultra-lightweight design offers a secure comfortable fit so you can stay connected hands-free for hours. And the earpiece includes three uniquely shaped gel eartips--small, medium and large--that are designed to conform snugly to the contours of your ear without the need for an earloop stabilizer, so nothing will interfere with earrings or eyewear. Once you place the earpiece into your ear, making calls is as simple as it gets. It has a multi-function button on the diamond-shaped face that powers the device, dials or releases calls, triggers voice dialing, or kicks the earpiece into pairing mode. A second button lets you control the volume. For voice clarity, a 1.9-inch boom brings the microphone closer to your mouth to reduce background noise as you talk. The boom mic also houses the earpiece's antenna. And finally, a micro-USB port is located on the side of the earpiece for charging. AudioIQ Noise Control and On-the-Go Charging The Discovery 925 features AudioIQ technology that blocks out annoying background noise in most situations, giving you clear calls every time. The earpiece lets you roam up to 33 feet from your Bluetooth phone and it supports multipoint technology, which allows two Bluetooth devices to be paired to the earpiece. This means you can receive and make calls from two of your phones without having to switch earpieces. The Discovery 925 runs on a rechargeable lithium ion battery that gives you up to five hours of talk time and up to seven days of standby time from a single charge. And when the earpiece is not in use, you can store it in its unique color-coordinated case, which performs double duty with its sturdy but stylish construction and its integrated rechargeable battery. Not only will the case protect the earpiece from everyday hazards, but it will also keep your earpiece charged. Simply charge the case directly with the included AC charger or USB cable--with or without the earpiece in place--and when fully charged, it will have enough power provide your earpiece up to five hours of talk time for when you need it. Of course you can still charge the ear piece directly with the AC charger, but with this convenient recharging case, you don't have to worry about your earpiece running out of power while you're on the go. Just place your earpiece in the case, and safely store it in your handbag or briefcase. When you're ready to use it again, it will be fully charged with enough power for up to five hours of talk time. The Discovery 925 is backed by a Plantronics 1-year limited warranty. What's in the Box Bluetooth earpiece, charging case, AC charger, USB cable, and three eartips (S, M, L).
