I have had this item for about a year and use it to change both phones at night. The first one is pluged right into the phone the second phone I pull the battery out and put in the back of the charger and charge both at the sam time. The blue LED light to show the unit has power is bright enough that when we were on vacation that we were able to use it as a night light that show a clear blue circle on the ceiling about 4 inches round and found it provide just enough light to make out the future in the small hotel room, I saw this as a plus but others may see it as negitive since it is a wast of engery, I simply turn off the power strip that I have this and my other batery charges pluged into when I get up in the morning to avoid wasting energy because of power LED light.
