Summary: Pleasantly surprised
Comment: This product exceeded my expectations. I generally keep my iPhone 3G in 1 of 3 protective case - a slim fit polycarbonate case that protects the back of the phone, an ifrogz polycarbonate case that offers a bit more protection and a silicon case. With my phone in any of these three, it still fits nicely into this holster. For my purposes that's great but for people who don't use a polycarbonate or silicon case, the holster might be a little too loose fitting. Either way, it's going to be easy to insert and remove your phone.
It's not noticeable in the pictures but the side bands do have some elasticity to them which also helps with inserting and removing the phone. The inside and outside of the case feels and looks like real leather but it has a bit of a strange smell to it with a hint of leather smell. The case is very soft so it's not going to damage your phone. On the inside of the case, there's an engraved logo which says "LUXMO Luxury Mobile - Original Product". On the front flap of the case in the bottom-right corner there's an "X" shaped metallic emblem. I googled it but didn't find any details about the company that crafted it.
The belt clip is very strong although the leather around the metal clasp feels a bit thin so it could possibly tear through the leather with repeated use. However, it still has the belt loops and while they're fairly thin the stitching looks nice and strong.
The main reason I purchased this item was for exercising. With the size of the iPhone 3G, I felt like it was just to awkward to wear on an armband. Instead, I wanted a holster with a nice strong belt clip and access to the volume controls. For me, this case would be perfect if there was an opening in the top of the flap for the volume rocker but I can actually press on the outside of flap to change the volume. With the magnetic clasp, this holster is very easy to open and the clasp has a nice strong feel to it. It feels like the magnet actually covers the entire width of the flap.
There are better looking cases out there and some cases made with better materials but this is hands down the best bang for your buck case I've seen.

Comment: The leather is real soft. Fix perfectly for iphone 3g. It's a whole lot better than the $30 ones they have in ATT store. The belt loop will prevent it from falling off your belt compared to the ones that only have the clip. I lost several phones with just the clips.

Summary: Premium Case Adds Security for Almost No Money
Comment: After considering spending up to $160 on a case for my new iPhone 3G, I decided to buy this to see if a holster-style case would be a better solution for my needs. Sure, it is plastic (although it does feel like leather) but it fully protects the iPhone from corner shocks. It also has a little extra room inside in case your iPhone has a thin outer liner. For added security, the non-moving clip provides a solid grip that takes a second to clip to pants or a belt but it's well worth the effort. The cover includes a wide magnet that keeps the holster tightly closed. It looks expensive, it adds security and it only costs $2.95. I already bought two just in case you too discovered this gem.

Summary: Nice but not exactly what I expected
Comment: For some reason i thought that i could be able to put the iphone in the case, and just play with the iphone without having to take it out the case.
This is not possible, the case is entirely closed, e.g. there is no "hole" for the screen.
Anyhow, the leather is good, and it's protecting the iphone pretty well.
