I installed Nokia PC Suite version 7.0.8.2 to transfer my phone contacts from my old phone, to run backups of phone data etc, but even though Windows recognises the phone is connected, the PC Suite refuses to acknowledge that the phone is there. I've searched the Nokia website for an answer to this issue. Nokia does not provide much support, and the support section of their website is pretty difficult to navigate. The user forums seem to be full of reports of trouble with the latest versions of PC Suite. So, the cable is fine but be aware that the cable may not be much use, if PC Suite does not work on your system. YMMV, as with most computer problems. As soon as I received it, I plugged it into my USB and it connected without needing to download any drivers and I immediately gained access to all the folders in the phone (6555B in my case). Unlike one of the other reviewers, I did not expect it to charge the phone while plugged in, but it would have been nice if it could - he's right it doesn't charge the phone, but does everything very well. The only reason why I did not rate this as 5 stars is because of the price.
