Summary: Eh... not so good headset
Comment: I purchased this based on online reviews from Amazon and elswhere. When I opened the box it was exactly what I thought it would be except that I was unhappy with the overally performance of the product.
#1) It does not fit in my hear without the added clip.
#2) Even with the added clip it still kept becoming loose after extended periods of wear
#3) Became too loud sometimes even after trying to lower volume
#4) It had static sometimes as if I were too far away from the phone even though I was not.
#5) I didn't like that I had to turn it back on again each time, to put it back into pairing mode.
I am sure the battery life was good and maybe I just had a bad one. Who knows. But this one is going back. The shipper delivered it as agreed so no bad words for them.

Summary: Cardo Bluetooth
Comment: I purchased a Cardo Bluetooth headset after researching countless options and used many I was not happy with. I received it right away paired it, and it was good to go. The sound quality is amazing and even if I am walking in wind or driving with noise, the sound is clear. This was a huge problem for me with other headsets. This headset is very comfortable to wear, even though it has a weird wire hangar looking piece that goes around your ear. It turned out to be the most comfortable ear piece I have used, and fits around the ear perfectly to hold it in place. It has a lot of functionality and instructions to read, not my favorite thing as I just want to do what I need to do, however, once you use it a while it is pretty simple. Overall a great product I am very happy with.

Summary: So far so good......
Comment: Previous ear piece was a Plantronics 640, so I'm basing this review on the 640. I've had the S800 about a week now.
I've used it mostly at home, paired with a Dingleberry Curve, I really haven't used it all day or in a working enviornment. Sound clarity is a little better than the Plantronic, but sometimes still a little muffled. I've got not so hot cell reception here at the house and switch cell towers when I move from the front of the house to the back. With the 640, when the switch happened there was a loud echo. This does not happen with the s800. Basic functions with the 800 are easy. Very small switch to turn on and off, but even with my big fingers, easy to use. The ear piece is large, but cone shaped, so I can use it without the ear loop and seems to stay secured, but I'm just usually just sitting around with it on. I was worried that I would have to use the loop, as I have small ear canals (I had to use the smallest ear piece on the P640, and it was a little big.), but no problem making it stay. Noise canceling seems to be a lot better than the P640, but really haven't had it out on a windy ramp. Overall, so far so good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I just haven't had it long enough too really see how it does. Very fast shipping from J&R Music World.

Summary: Cardo's headsets just get better
Comment: I had the Cardo 500 bluetooth and was very happy with except for accidenatlly pressing the activity button while it is in my pocket. With the Cardo 800 feature that allows you to lock the buttons is awesome.
The sound quality is good, the battery life is great, the features are great. The only thing that prevented my from giving a perfect score is the ear loop. It is made from metal and I was able to mold it to fit my ear but at first it did not feel secure. After using it for about two weeks I am now able make it fit securely and would recommend this to anyone needing a small headset.

Summary: Not as good as Cardo Scala 700
Comment: As I perfectionist, I tried MANY bluetooth sets before finding the Cardo Scala 600 about 3 years ago. It worked so well, sold a few of my friends on it and upgraded to the model 700 when it came out.
When I saw the 800, couldn't wait to try it.
HUGE disappointement:
1. Terrible "in ear" design. Falls out the minute you breathe or turn your head.
2. Over-the-ear loop looks like it was made from a leftover coat hanger and works about as well.
3. My Cardo Scala 700 works perfectly with my iPhone. Half the time I tried using the 800 with it, it would not "pair" meaning it refused to work with the iPhone.
4. Not really much smaller than prior models.
In fairness to Cardo, when it did work, the sound quality was comparable (no better or worse) than prior models.
Bottom Line: IMHO the Cardo Scala 700 is the BEST bluetooth I've ever tried and the model 800 is one of the worst.
