Customer Rating: Summary: The design you're going to receive is smooth leather Comment: Contrary to photo, the design you're going to receive is smooth leather, I like & wanted the nubby.
Customer Rating: Summary: Must have case for your snackberry Comment: This is a must have case for your snackberry. It protects the device well with out being bulky. No crazy belt clips here! It also has a nice feature of putting the phone to sleep when inside the case to save on battery life.
Customer Rating: Summary: Almost perfect Comment: Very nice high quality case. It has the required magnet to lock the keys when you slide the Pearl in. Only con is it doesn't have a belt loop or clip. You have to carry it in your pocket.
Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect fit and great price Comment: I was looking for something simple and cheap (but not chintzy) to protect my Pearl. This fit the bill perfectly. Compare this to the overpriced garbage available in the T-Mobile retail stores, and it is an even better deal.
Customer Rating: Summary: Buy it here! Comment: A newbe to smartphones, I just purchased the Pocket via BlackBerry's "official" accessories shop and paid, with shipping, $32. Rookie mistake that I won't make again.
To comment on the previous comments: On the official shop, this product is listed for Pearl 8100s only - so don't buy this for any other model.
Also, as stated before, it's a really snug fit, but I'm hoping the leather will soften up a bit with use.
The sensor works if the phone is inserted the correct way (1 of the 4 ways that it fits.) This helped me figure out how the phone was supposed to go in the pocket :-) Inserted correctly, the camera lens is protected by just about a quarter of an inch (not much) and the camera flash is left exposed (for what it's worth.)

The BlackBerry Leather Pocket is a form-fitted case designed to protect your BlackBerry Pearl 8100 smartphone and its camera lens from bumps and scratches. It provides easy access to your smartphone thanks to a built-in thumb groove: just give your BlackBerry Pearl a gentle tug and it slides out smoothly. Plus, it features a battery-saving proximity sensor that shuts off the screen backlight as soon as you slide your smartphone into place. The sensor also allows you to switch automatically to different notification settings (for ringing, vibration or both) based on whether your smartphone is in or out of its case.
