Summary: Cable great; "software", not so much...
Comment: The cable works great. My XP laptop found the device like a champ. The "software" is actually a listing of the websites where you can find the driver, not the drivers themselves, and I actually did better by googling my particular phone and getting the driver THAT way. (The route they took me on the disk was confusing, to say the least.)

Comment: USB cable got stuck in phone and I had to use force to remove it and it fell apart. I gave one star because it work only once. You get what you pay for.

Summary: Great Product for the cost
Comment: I purchased this to use with my wifes phone, a LG VX-8350. The CD is only for the chocolate so I did not use that, just tossed. The cable is a snug fit as mentioned in other reviews but works beautifully to provide connection to a pc. I use the BitPIM program mentioned in other reviews to transfer her existing data from her old phone to the new without any problems, save minor formating. If anything the BitPIM allows you to add additional data and format that data so it is more effectively used.

Comment: This cable is useless unless you ALREADY have the driver and software you need. You are only told this far down on the sales page. What seemed a really good deal was just too good to be true!
